Terra Fantasy #29 is the second volume with the adventures of King Kull in a fictional era. The stories come from the pen of Texan author Robert E. Howard, who, with his barbarian Conan, ultimately founded an entire sub-genre of fantasy literature: Sword & Sorcery. The Kull short stories are an absolute classic of fantasy and are recommended for anyone who wants to experience the Conan prototype up close. Terra Fantasy was a paperback series that ran from 1974 to 1982 and reached 94 issues. The editorial publisher was Hugh Walker (pseudonym for Hubert Strassl), who had already worked on the Dragon pulp novel series at Pabel Verlag in the early 1970s. The Terra Fantasy series featured novels and short story collections by authors such as John Jakes, Henry Kuttner, Robert E. Howard, André Norton and others. The cover art was often taken from works by renowned fantasy illustrators, such as Frank Frazetta.
