Terra #400 featuring the science fiction novel Welten des Grauens by Fritz Leiber. This anniversary issue of Terra is in a good, used condition.
Terra was published from 1957 to 1968 as a novella booklet series (approx. 23x15cm) by Moewig-Verlag in Munich, reaching the memorable number of 555 issues before the series was discontinued. In the German-speaking world, these novella booklets were the equivalent of the American pulps of the first half of the 20th century: entertaining fiction and an entry point into certain genres (here, science fiction) for young readers. Today, novella booklets are collected as connoisseur items, both for the stories and for the cover art. The typical "look" of Terra was shaped above all by Johnny Bruck, who from 1961 also designed the visual style of the Perry Rhodan series.
