Superman 1973 #23 with a Superboy story and a Superman adventure. The comic issue is in a used condition, the insert is missing.
Superman was published by Ehapa Verlag between 1966 and 1985 and still forms the solid backbone of DC comics in German today. (A Marvel Comics equivalent in the 1970s was Williams Verlag.) The Superman issues featured stories from various US series: Superman, Batman, Action Comics, Detective Comics, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane, World's Finest Comics and others. At Ehapa Verlag, these issues held roughly the same status for superheroes as Mickey Mouse did for Funnies. Because of the very thin paper, which is highly prone to creasing, exceptionally well-preserved copies are sought-after collector's items.
