Ragnarok!
This was the Vikings' name for the end of the world. But when one world ends, a new age of Duelling begins!
As Ragnarok draws near, the Norse Gods – Odin, Thor and Loki – descend upon the Duel world, bringing the full fury of monsters and warriors of the North with them. This 100-card set lets you bring the wrath of the Gods down upon your opponents!
As one of the strongest sets of recent years, Storm of Ragnarok will sweep away anyone who refuses to adapt to the new era, for the time of Ragnarok is at hand!
The Aesir
The Aesir are the highest gods of the historical Vikings. Now they have left their golden thrones and snow-covered lands to take on new forms – as some of the most powerful Synchro Monsters ever created!
Now YOU can harness their incredible powers to destroy your opponents once and for all! Each of these Level 10 monsters has super-high ATK and DEF. And in the unlikely event that they are destroyed, they can bring themselves back from the Graveyard!
Fury of the North
Each of the Aesir rules over its own tribe of Norse monsters:
Thor, Lord of the Aesir rules over the Norse beasts.
Loki, Lord of the Aesir rules over the Norse alfar.
Odin, Father of the Aesir rules over the Norse ascendant.
Storm of Ragnarok includes monsters from each of these Norse tribes, and each tribe includes a special Tuner used to Synchro Summon the Aesir of that tribe:
Norse Beast Guldfaxe summons Thor.
Norse Alfar Svartalf summons Loki.
Norse Ascendant Valkyrie summons Odin.
Odin's Strategy
Odin, being the father of all Aesir, prides himself on his wisdom and has many strategies and plans to win victory for his people. That's why his army of Norse ascendants also includes the ultimate Tuner: Norse Ascendant Vanadis. Vanadis (a Level 4 DARK monster) can be used as a Tuner monster for ANY of the Aesir. What's more, it can adjust its Level to match that of any "Norse" monster in your Deck, giving you maximum flexibility in the heat of battle.
As long as Vanadis is under your command, Summoning an Aesir is super easy. You can do it with just 2 cards, by combining Vanadis (Level 4) with 2 Level 3 "Norse Beast Tokens" from Norse Beast Tanngrisnir.
Treasures from 1,000 Years of Plunder
When it comes to waging war, the Aesir don't hold back. Not satisfied with three of the most powerful Synchro Monsters ever created plus an army of beasts, alfar and Norse ascendants? Then your wish shall be granted! Father Odin also presents you with over a dozen special Spell and Trap Cards for your "Norse" Deck – the treasures of over 1,000 years of plunder!
The Return of the Six Samurai
The Norse Gods are not the only ones stepping out of the pages of history to join your Duels. Storm of Ragnarok also brings the "return" of the Six Samurai… the original Six Samurai. And these samurai are far stronger than any you've seen before!
These legendary Six Samurai laid the foundation of the Samurai back then. Add all six new ones to your existing Six Samurai Deck. However, you don't need an existing Six Samurai Deck to build a powerful Six Samurai Deck with these cards. But the legendary Six Samurai and the existing Six Samurai fit together perfectly, so you can combine them as you please.
Alongside 9 new monsters – including a Six Samurai Synchro Monster! – Storm of Ragnarok also includes new Spells and Traps that perfectly support the strategies and combat methods of all the Six Samurai, both new and old.
Packed with Powerful Cards!
In addition to all the monsters, spells and traps for Norse and Six Samurai Decks, Storm of Ragnarok also offers new cards for decks such as Blackwing, Scrap, Karakuri, Watt, Zombie, Elemental Hero and Harpie. Plus new Trap Monsters!
And last but not least, we present the Symphonic Warriors, a new group of Tuners that can change their Level, Type or Attribute. This ensemble of Tuners will let you Summon Synchro Monsters that normally wouldn't work in your Deck! Don't miss the limited window in which the Symphonic Warriors can be used!
