Starter Deck: Link Strike - 1st Edition - Yu-Gi-Oh! - DE

The next big wave of Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME monsters is rolling in: Starter Deck –Link Strike–. Link Monsters help you unleash unprecedented dominance in your duels, since it's not just about how you play your cards, but also where you play them.

Link Monsters start the duel in the Extra Deck; you can Link Summon them by sending face-up monsters to the Graveyard. Every Link Monster tells you exactly which monsters you need and how many of them. Link Monsters have neither Level, Rank nor Defence (DEF). They can never be Set or Summoned in Defence Position. They are always face up and ready to attack, so you always know who or what their arrows are pointing at! The arrows of Link Monsters are their most important feature, as they indicate the Monster Zones they are linked to. Depending on its effect, a Link Monster can grant ATK to every monster in its linked zone, or protect those monsters from being destroyed. The possibilities of a Link Monster's effects are nearly endless, but the effects aren't the only great thing about Link Monsters!

Link Monsters also let you control several different monsters at once, summoned straight from your Extra Deck! Every zone a Link Monster points to can be used to Summon additional monsters from your Extra Deck. So the goal is to target as many zones as possible with your arrows, without pointing them at your opponent's zones. This is the newest and most important strategy to master in Starter Deck –Link Strike–.

The Starter Deck –Link Strike– brings 3 new, all-foil Link Monsters to your Extra Deck, plus a complete Main Deck and a new playmat featuring the new Extra Monster Zones. This set introduces a brand-new monster type, joining the ranks of dragons, warriors, spellcasters and many others. Inspired by the machine network, this new monster type takes today's digital technology and turns it into Duel technology!
