Starstrike Blast Booster - 1st Edition - Yu-Gi-Oh! - DE

Did you wish for 2010 to end with a mega-powerful booster series and a proper bang? Your wish has been granted! Starstrike Blast will hit the duelling world like a meteor, led by two of the greatest Synchro Monsters there have ever been: “Shooting Star Dragon” and “Red Nova Dragon”.

“Shooting Star Dragon” can negate your opponent's attacks and card effects and can also attack up to 5 times per turn. Such a powerful monster requires not only your trusty “Stardust Dragon”, but also a Tuner monster that is itself a Synchro Monster: “Formula Synchron”. This new Tuner/Synchro lets you perform Synchro Summons even during your opponent's turn. Just imagine Special Summoning “Black Rose Dragon” onto the field via Synchro Summon during your opponent's turn to wipe the field clean.

“Formula Synchron” is only Level 2, so it's a little tricky to Summon, since both your Tuner and your non-Tuner need to be Level 1. But the new Trap Card “Übermut der Yokai” makes this much easier. This Trap reduces the Level of all monsters by 2 for this turn. So all your Level 3 and lower monsters become Level 1 monsters. This makes it super easy to Summon “Formula Synchron”. And an easily summoned “Formula Synchron” means an easily summoned “Shooting Star Dragon”!

The other Synchro Monster is “Red Nova Dragon”, which is so massive that it requires two Tuner monsters to be Summoned. But it's worth the effort, as it has at least 4500 ATK, cannot be destroyed by card effect, and can even protect your weaker monsters from being attacked!

But Starstike Blast offers so much more than just big Synchro Monsters. The set is packed to the brim with new cards for Blackwing, Scrap, Watt, Naturia, Koa'ki Meiru, Genex, Fabled and Ice Barrier strategies. There's even a brand-new Monarch: “Delg der finstere Monarch”. This set also introduces the new Karakuri monsters: completely novel machines with all kinds of tricks up their sleeve, as they constantly change their battle position.

“Stimmen” is a Spell Card that lets you add a Synchro Tuner from your Deck to your hand, making it a breeze to Summon Yusei's top Synchro Monsters, such as “Bohrkrieger” and “Gerümpelzerstörer”. Starstrike Blast also includes new Tuners like “Aufblühende Blumenzwiebel” and “Schrott-Gedankenleser”, which you can use twice by bringing them back from the Graveyard. All this makes Synchro Summoning easier than ever!

And last but not least, if you're a duelist who loves throwing a wrench into your opponent's strategy, then this is exactly the right set for you, above all thanks to the cards “Schädelmeister”, “Kauz & Schlossvogel”, “Zauberstein-Magier Karood” and “Psi-Blocker”. Discard “Schädelmeister” to stop your opponent from activating effects in the Graveyards, or discard “Kauz & Schlossvogel” to stop them from drawing lots of extra cards! “Zauberstein-Magier Karood” can continuously remove cards from your opponent's Graveyard, and “Psi-Blocker” works like “Verbot” while it's on the field, except that you can choose the forbidden card again every turn!
