Skylanders: Swap Force - Nintendo Wii - DE

When the volcano on the Cloudbreak Islands erupts, the Elementals perform a magical ritual. During a battle against the forces of evil that attacked during this ritual, sixteen Skylanders gained a new ability: they can now swap their upper and lower halves with each other. These new Skylanders have joined Flynn and the others to protect the Cloudbreak Islands from Kaos on behalf of the residents of Woodburrow. The game begins when a girl from Woodburrow lands on Flynn's ship and asks the Skylander for help. The player must first protect the ship from waves of enemies (the ship crashes anyway) and then reach Woodburrow, which now serves as the hub of the game. The levels consist of branching paths with some puzzles and enemies, in which the Skylander figure is placed on the Portal of Power, which now has the ability to jump, explore and find gold, experience and the many treasures needed to collect all three stars of each level. Some paths can only be entered by Skylanders of a specific element, and the new Swap Skylanders can enter paths that require two different elements. The Swap Skylanders have specific abilities on both their upper and lower halves; the upper half has attack abilities, while the lower half has movement and defence abilities. The underside also features a Swap Zone power that is needed to reach special challenges, which can then be replayed in Woodburrow. Each completed level can also be replayed to find more hidden treasures when new Skylanders are available. Each Skylander makes progress by collecting experience and upgrading their abilities in special pods found in Woodburrow or in the levels themselves. The character's progress data is then stored in the character figure.
