Skylanders: Giants - Nintendo Wii - DE

Skylanders Giants is the second game in the Skylanders series and the direct sequel to Spyro's Adventure. Kaos, previously defeated by the Skylanders, finds himself in a toy shop on Earth. He finds a portal and travels back to a time when the Arkeyans, an evil robot race, ruled the Skylands. Like its predecessor, the game uses figures that, through an accessory called a "Portal", allow players to assume the role of the game character. The original figures are compatible with the game, but new, stronger characters are introduced. One of the new figures are the Giants themselves. These are larger than the Skylanders, up to twice as large, and have different abilities in the game, such as lifting large objects and throwing them to clear a path. The character can be switched at any time by exchanging the figure on the portal. The levels consist of platform maps with puzzles, enemies, breakable objects that yield money and various treasures. Each level has different objectives that must be achieved to earn a three-star rating. Once the first level is completed, the player gains access to a hub from which levels can be replayed to master them and achieve all objectives. Some treasures reward the player with equipment that changes the appearance of the game character and enhances their abilities. These changes are encrypted in the figure and become effective in other games when the same figure is used; figures can be reset in the game menu. A new Battle Mode with new areas and Skylanders alter-egos is introduced for multiplayer play against each other. The Starter Pack contains the Skylanders Giants game and the following: * One Portal of Power Jet-Vac figure Cynder figure Tree Rex figure Three character sticker sheets with secret codes Three collectible cards One poster Only Tree Rex is included in the Portal Owners Pack. A legendary version of Jet-Vac is also available as part of an exclusive legendary three-pack, and a glow-in-the-dark version of Cynder is included in Wal-Mart exclusive versions of the Starter Pack.
