Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder - Game Boy Advance - DE

This handheld version differs from its predecessor Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder, but still offers the same structure. The player chooses from a group of snowboarders such as Shaun White, Ingemar Backman, Tara Dakides and the game's namesake, Shaun Palmer, 16 different courses at four different locations and authentic snowboards, of which more are unlocked as the game progresses. There are a variety of game modes, including Tutorial, Free Ride and VS, where two players can compete against each other, as well as a career mode. There are a variety of styles, each with its own rules and gameplay, such as Freestyle, where the player performs complex tricks while racing, judged afterwards by how complicated or simple the trick is and whether it was landed perfectly or fell on his backside. In Palmer X, the player competes against computer opponents on a downhill slope, whilst in Superpipe a player must complete a course within a certain time limit to progress.
