Before the legendary magazine Savage Sword of Conan the Barbarian launched in August 1974, there was the trial run in the form of Savage Tales. Among other stories, this issue features the first part of Red Nails by Robert E. Howard. The adaptation was drawn by Barry Smith and written by Roy Thomas. The cover was painted by John Buscema; the magazine is in good used condition.
