Robin Hood Prince of Thieves - Game Boy - EN

Power Racer is an implementation of the arcade game Head On which includes a special mode. The normal mode is a faithful reproduction of the original: the playing field consists of a square race track with four lanes. Between the corners, the lanes are partially interrupted so that the lane can be changed. This is necessary because points lie on the non-interrupted parts that must all be collected to move on to the next level. Additionally, another car (in higher levels two) is on the track trying to crash into the player – this must of course be avoided. This mode offers ten difficulty levels. The special mode extends the basic gameplay with a few things. In this mode there are three difficulty levels and nine tracks, all of which vary the playing field, such as different lane layouts, oil stains that cause the car to skid when driven over, or conveyor belts. There are also some power-ups that appear randomly on the track and must be collected within a limited timeframe. Most of them are not activated immediately and can be used at a convenient time. The power-ups include a bomb (which causes a nearby opponent to skid), a level skip, an extra life, a shield, a slowdown of the opponent and one that makes all cars make a U-turn. This mode can be played by two human players.
