Power Man #17
Comic: Power Man #17Language: English
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Year: February 1974
Condition: Fine/Very Fine, FN/VF, 7.0
Power Man #17 features fast-paced adventures of Luke Cage right from the Bronze Age of comics! The comic book is in used condition.
Luke Cage first appeared in Hero for Hire #1, in the summer of 1972. With issue 17, the series was renamed Power Man in 1974, and because sales figures declined, the series was nearly discontinued four years later. Another Marvel series, Iron Fist, suffered a similar fate. So Marvel made one last attempt and had the two mismatched heroes fight side by side starting with issue 50 as Power Man and Iron Fist. The series then ran successfully for eight years until issue 125.
