Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon

Every seasoned duellist knows we have a proud history when it comes to Level 8, 3000 ATK dragons. And “Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon” is the newest and best!

Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon has the power to grab any monster that battles it and vanish into a distant galaxy together with it. At the end of the Battle Phase, both monsters return – but any Xyz Material that was attached to the opponent's monster is lost, giving Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon a power-up of 500 ATK!

This ability is useful in more ways than one. Should your opponent activate a trap when Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon attacks, it simply flees to a far-off galaxy. Far too far for your opponent's traps – and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is sure to return safely to the field.

This also means that Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon can't be attacked by other monsters. Even if they try, it can simply flee to its home galaxy until the battle is over!

Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon is easy to summon. You can play it as a Tribute Summon or as a Special Summon with card effects, and you can even bring it back from the Graveyard.

You can also Special Summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon from your hand by tributing 2 monsters with 2000 or more ATK. Getting 2 monsters with 2000 ATK is easy with new cards, such as these:

Normal Monsters rush to the rescue!
Meet “Rescue Rabbit”! It's the best friend of all Normal Monsters.

You can banish “Rescue Rabbit” to Special Summon 2 Level 4 or lower Normal Monsters from your deck. And there's a lot of cool stuff you can do with these monsters, starting with Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

Summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon with ease by pairing Rescue Rabbit with “Alexandrite Dragon”! Alexandrite Dragon is a Level 4, 2000 ATK LIGHT dragon. Simply banish Rescue Rabbit to Special Summon 2 Alexandrite Dragons from your deck, and then – BOOM! – Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon appears. Wasn't that easy?

Here are a few more “Rescue Rabbit“ tricks:

• Get 2 Normal Monsters of the same level and use them as Xyz Material. This turns 1 Rescue Rabbit into a Level 4 or lower Xyz Monster, as long as it only needs 2 materials.
• Grab 2 copies of “X-Saber Anu Piranha“, then unleash all your “XX-Saber Faultroll”! Use them to fetch a few Tuner Monsters from the Graveyard and Synchro Summon an army of X-Sabers onto the field to win the duel!
• Arrange easy Fusion Summons by fetching Gladiator Beasts, Gem-Knights or HERO monsters from your deck.

There are also spell and trap cards that can revive Normal Monsters from the Graveyard. You can combine them with these strategies to make “Rescue Rabbit“ the gift that keeps on giving!

Draconic Domination!

“Evol” monsters use rapid-fire summons to evolve reptiles into dinosaurs, then use those dinosaurs to summon powerful Dragon Xyz Monsters! This combo of reptiles, dragons and dinosaurs can give you a quick victory!

Start with the Evoltiles. These reptiles can bring your stronger Evol monsters from your hand, deck or Graveyard onto the field, so they can tear your opponent apart.

Evolsaurs are up next. These fierce dinosaurs get special powers when summoned by an Evoltile monster. All Evolsaurs in Photon Shockwave are Level 4, so it's easy to match their levels and bring out your Xyz Monsters: the Dragon-type Evolzar monsters!

Similar to the autocrats of days gone by, the Evolzar monsters rule over all other Evol monsters like kings, with really strong Attack Points and cool special powers.

“Evolzar Laggia” can negate any spell, trap or summon. The only things Laggia can't stop are monster effects. But these draconic autocrats work together to shore up each other's rule, and “Evolzar Dolkka” makes up for Laggia's only weakness, as Dolkka can negate any monster effect!

With these two despots, you can banish any card your opponent plays!

D-Boyzin da house!

Check out the “D-Boyz”. These homies love hanging out with their gang and summoning all the other “D-Boyz“ from your deck. That gets you 3 Level 1 Fiends on the field, which in turn can bring you “Number 83: Galaxy Queen“, “Baby Tiragon“ or “Raviel, Lord of Phantasms“ (from Legendary Collection 2) or even Obelisk the Tormentor (from Gold Series 4)! Level 1 monsters – earn some respect, yo.

“D-Boyz“ is just one of many cards in Photon Shockwave that boost some of the most popular themed decks!

Terror (and awe) for more decks

There are also several cards in Photon Shockwave that work in ANY deck. Use “Card of Sanctity of the Different Dimension“ (Shard of Greed) to draw more cards, “Battle Fader“ for emergency defence, and “Kagetokage“ for an instant Rank 4 Xyz Summon.

And don't forget “Number 61: Volcasaurus” (Thunder End Dragon), the first Rank 8 Xyz Monster. You can summon it with 2 Level 8 Normal Monsters – or use “Resonance Device“ (from Generation Force) to match the level of your “Alexandrite Dragon“ with “Blue-Eyes White Dragon“ (for example from Duelist Pack: Kaiba) or “Kabazauls“!

Once “Thunder End Dragon” is on the field, it can be used to destroy all other monsters in play and then tear into your opponent's Life Points with its 3000 ATK. Don't let this incredible power shock you – get ready right now to power up your deck with Photon Shockwave!
