Mario Golf World Tour - Nintendo 3DS - DE

Mario Golf: World Tour is an arcade-style golf game with Mario themes and the first handheld game in the Mario Golf series since Mario Golf: Advance Tour for Game Boy Advance. The player hits the ball by aiming at an overhead map and trying to time their power and shot accuracy. Although it is easy to learn and play, special techniques such as limited-power shots, the ability to use backspin and topspin, and the ability to curve shots around obstacles allow for many different strategies. There are two main game modes: Castle Club and Mario Golf.

The Castle Club mode is similar to the story mode of earlier Mario Golf handheld games. In this mode, the player guides their Mii through various tournaments and challenges. As players progress, they earn coins which they can use to buy better golf equipment.

The Mario Golf mode allows the player to play as various characters from the Mario universe and take part in a variety of golf games and challenges, including stroke play, match play and mini-games set on golf courses. In the mini-game challenges, the player must complete specific tasks, such as hitting the ball through rings and then hitting the ball into the hole while still achieving par, or completing a course with 3 randomly selected clubs.

An online mode allows you to play against other players in tournaments and match play. Local multiplayer with up to four people is also available.
