Kamandi #11 featuring a story about the last boy on Earth. This post-apocalyptic dystopia by Jack Kirby was inspired by the then hugely successful theme of Planet of the Apes. Several films and a TV series popularised the concept that, in a not-too-distant future, apes become intelligent and take over world domination. In Kamandi, Kirby went a step further and had (almost) all animals mutate into intelligent beings. Kamandi was the longest-running Kirby comic of the 1970s at DC. The issue is in noticeably used condition.
