Description
Ka-Zar #7
Comic: Ka-Zar #7Language: English
Publisher: Marvel Comics
Year: January 1975
Condition: Very Fine Minus, VF-, 7.5
Ka-Zar #1 featuring Marvel's jungle hero and his sabre-toothed tiger Zabu. After succeeding in the early 1970s in the series Astonishing Tales, Ka-Zar got his own series in 1974. The cover is by legendary artist John Buscema, and the issue is in a good condition.
This is a so-called MJI (Mark Jewelers Insert) variant. In the 1970s, a small part of the print run had a cardboard foldout insert - advertising various jewellery - stapled into the middle of the comic. These copies were distributed near military bases, in the hope that soldiers would order jewellery for their family members. Such issues are rare today in good condition, because the cardboard advert was usually torn out and used. Beautiful complete copies are therefore in demand among collectors.
