Juka and the Monophonic Menace - Game Boy Advance - EN

Long ago, mysterious «Ancients» built machines throughout the land that could harness the power of sound. The Ancients disappeared, leaving only their devices for future civilisations to discover. Years later, the «Settlers» came and built their cities in the areas where the machines had remained, and all was prosperous. But nothing stays perfect forever. Powerful alchemists sought to harness the power of the Ancients' machines for their own gain, and war broke out. Those who attempted to use the Ancients' machines, or the Dark Alchemists, as they were called, were killed or banished, and eventually peace returned. However, rumours persist that the last of the Dark Alchemists, the monophonic menace, has returned to conquer the world. Juka and the Monophonic Menace is an action-adventure game. The title character, Juka, is an alchemist who can gather ingredients from trees, water, bushes and other places to mix and create potions. The potions can be used to defend against enemies, alter the landscape or even activate machines. Juka also has a «sound staff» with which he can absorb various types of sounds and fire them back at specific enemies.
