Disney's Hercules is based on the animated film of the same name. Apart from the source material, there is no connection to the games based on the film on other platforms. The player takes on the role of Hercules, who must travel through nine levels to prove himself as a worthy son of Zeus. As for gameplay, it is a standard side-scrolling platformer. The goal is to move from left to right and avoid death by not touching enemies too often (Hercules has a health bar) or falling into holes. Hercules also possesses a melee weapon with which he can kill enemies. In some sections, he controls Pegasus, the winged horse.
