Illustrierte Klassiker #30
Comic: Illustrierte Klassiker #30Language: German
Publisher: BSV Comics (Bildschriftenverlag)
Year: 1958 (1st printing, HLN=32)
Condition: 2 (Two) Good
Illustrierte Klassiker #30 with the comic adaptation of A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. The comic issue is in good used condition.
The comic series Illustrierte Klassiker was published in German by Bildschriftenverlag (BSV) from 1956 to 1972 and reached 205 issues. It was the German version of the American Classics Illustrated - classics of world literature presented in comic form. The artists were often above-average, many of the source novels were very well adapted to the comic medium, and for many young readers it was their first contact with literary classics. On the back of the comics (or on the last page of the issue) the available and reorderable issue numbers were listed. Using this Highest List Number (or HLN), it is possible to determine the print run of the comics, which were often reprinted several times due to strong demand. It is clear that collectors today are mainly interested in first printings.
