Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Nintendo Wii - DE

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is based on the film of the same name. The player takes on the role of Harry Potter, who must fight against Lord Voldemort and his minions. The game is not entirely linear – between chapters, Harry can explore the school at his own discretion. If the player does not want to walk around and search, he has two options to shortcut a corner: portraits that are unlocked during the game can be used to instantly teleport to another location. Harry can also summon a ghost who will show him the fastest route to the next mission. Exploration has one main goal: to find the 150 (more or less) hidden crests that unlock achievements and trophies. Since Harry has lost his ability to jump and climb, he must use spells to reach them. Mini-games The player will spend most of their time with three mini-games: spell duels, potion brewing and Quidditch. The duels serve to learn new spells or improve already known ones. Harry basically faces other wizards and uses his spells to defeat them, for example by paralyzing them or deflecting their spells. To perform a spell, the player must mimic a specific movement with their input device. Quidditch is a reaction test. Harry's broomstick flies automatically and the player can only move it slightly to fly through rings or avoid obstacles. When brewing potions, Harry has a bowl, ingredients and a time limit in front of him. Now he simply needs to follow the recipe by using the ingredients in the correct order in the bowl. Sometimes he has to heat the bowl or stir the brew with his input device. If he makes a mistake, there is smoke, which costs time.
