Description
Driver: Parallel Lines is the fourth game in the Driver series, telling the story of TK. In 1978, TK (then an 18-year-old driver fresh out of high school) was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a crime he did not commit and was released from prison in 2006. Now he wants to take revenge on the police with his driving skills, because he served time for something someone else should have gone to prison for! Unlike Driv3r, Driver: Parallel Lines takes place primarily behind the wheel and returns to the formula that made the first game a classic. However, the game is still designed in the style of GTA with an open ending, and you can leave your vehicle to act on foot. However, there is no reason to leave the vehicle unless it is damaged and you can no longer drive it, as almost all of the game's missions involve police chases. If that's the case, you can either go to the workshop to repair your vehicle, or you can simply steal someone else's vehicle! Until then, you can beat the cops with your fists and steal their weapons if they're dead, so you can use them for future hand-to-hand fights. The game takes place both in 1978 (before TK went to prison) and in 2006. The 2006 setting has a much more modern soundtrack than the 1978 setting, which is mainly a disco soundtrack. Of course, there's the architecture, technology and cars of today in 2006.
