Deadly Creatures - Nintendo Wii - DE

In Deadly Creatures, the player alternately controls a spider and a scorpion as they search through a world from their unique perspective just above the ground. The game's mysterious story follows two people who are always above the creatures, set in the desert and at a petrol station. The game is essentially a combat game where the Wii Remote and Nunchuk are used for various special manoeuvres to defeat mostly insect-like enemies. As you progress through the game, you earn points for defeating enemies, which in turn unlock new moves for the spider and scorpion. Each of the animals has its own movements. For example, the spider can shoot webs or jump, while the scorpion uses its deadly stinger and burrows through holes in the walls. The level design also heavily relies on the ability of both creatures to walk along walls. Each level has several save points, usually just before a boss battle. Health points are replenished by eating grasshoppers. Normal grasshoppers give only a small amount of health back, whilst rare green grasshoppers increase the animal's maximum health. Maggots can be found throughout the levels, and eating them gradually unlocks bonus galleries for concept art.
