The evil I.N.K.T. Corporation has infiltrated Chroma City and uses its machines to suck the colour out of the environment and transform the happy Raydiants into subversive Graydiants. Only de Blob can set things right by restoring things to their former glory and colouring the Graydients to bring them back to their happy selves whilst thwarting the evil plan of I.N.K.T.! De Blob is an action game based on the Windows game The Blob, developed by students to promote their city. Your task is to roll into colour-filled machines that fill you with that colour, and then touch buildings, walls, billboards, trees and Graydiants to restore their colour. You can mix colours by rolling into two different primary colours (e.g. blue and yellow makes green). Some buildings are locked and cannot be coloured simply by touching them — instead, de Blob jumps inside them and the player must shake the Wii Remote to fill them with colour. In each area there are gates that are locked — these can be opened when you collect enough points. You can earn points for anything — colouring building blocks, freeing Graydiants, completing challenges and much more. Once the player has collected enough points, he opens the exit of the level and can leave it whenever he wants. There are also dangers for de Blob — water washes away your colour, and you constantly lose your colour supply if you stay in the water. There are also ink pools and I.N.K.T. agents that turn you black if you let them. If you turn black, all coloured objects you touch lose their colour, and your colour supply dwindles much faster than normal.
