Contents of One Piece OP13
This set, also known as "Carrying on His Will", is a Japanese set for the One Piece Card Game. It is released on 23 August 2025 in Japan and is entirely dedicated to the "Three Brothers": Monkey D. Luffy, Portgas D. Ace and Sabo, showcasing defining moments and scenes of the brothers from the anime. Each booster contains 6 cards.
The story of the Three Brothers
At the heart of the set is the bond between Luffy, Ace and Sabo – three boys who swore to be brothers in Windmill Village. Their vow to one day set sail together and pursue their dreams forms a central thread in the One Piece story. The set covers stages of their development: from their childhood at Gray Terminal to Ace's tragic fate at Marineford and Sabo's reappearance with the Revolutionary Army. Gol D. Roger, as the origin of the ideal they carry forward, is also featured for the first time as a Leader card.
Design and card types
OP-13 contains Leader, Event and Character cards with new illustrations. Thematically fitting Alternate Arts and Anniversary designs provide plenty of variety. Many artworks reflect the emotional depth of the story – for example in scenes depicting the brothers' vow or flashbacks to Ace's final message to Luffy. Overall, the set combines narrative nostalgia with a modern card layout.
As part of the official 3rd Anniversary Collection, the Japanese-language OP13 is aimed primarily at collectors. As it is a Japanese set, its contents cannot be used in tournament format outside Japan. The focus is therefore on the collecting aspect – particularly through limited designs and the significance of the featured characters within the One Piece universe.
