Description
Description Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree is the first instalment of Nintendo's puzzle game series to make its debut on the Wii. Using your Mii profiles from your Wii, you can enrol them in the Academy to test and improve your brain. Similar to Big Brain Academy, you will be tested in five main areas of brain activity: Identify, Memorise, Analyse, Compute and Visualise. The goal is to measure your brain and expand it through practice. Using the Wiimote, you must point at the screen to make your selections. The Activities: In each of the 5 mental categories there are 3 activities to train your brain. Identify Whack Match – you are shown objects and must hit the mole with the matching object Quick Focus – you get an encrypted image that comes into focus and you must decide which object it is Species Spotlight – use the Wiimote like a torch to identify the animals you see Memorise Covered Cage – You are given some birds in cages and must figure out where they are, similar to the shell game. Face Case – memorise the faces you see and match them to the question posed to you Reverse Retention – You are given a series of sounds that you must play backwards Analyse Match Blast – You are given a key at the top and must make the image look the same by blasting away what needs to be removed Speed Sorting – read the statement and answer by clicking on the correct image Block Spot – You are given a key block and must decide which block matches it. Compute Balloon Burst – Read the instruction and pop the balloons in the required order. Mallet Math – You are given a number and must tap the blocks so the numbers match it. Colour Count – count the balls going in to determine the score Visualise Art Parts – You are given a key and must place objects so they fit together. Train Turn – place your train parts to get the train to the end Odd One Out – You are given a series of images and must figure out which one is different. Game Modes: You can test and improve your skills in the game's Solo mode. When you're ready to take on your friends, you can switch to Group mode. Solo Mode The Test section takes you through 15 activities in the 5 mental categories. With each task, you start with an easy task, and if you solve it correctly and quickly, you move to the next level where the task appears again. However, if you fail or are simply not fast enough, you either stay at the same level or are demoted one level. At the end of the test, you get your total brain weight, a letter grade and a career that matches your achieved brain weight. In the Practice section, you can practise each of the activities in each of the 5 mental categories. For each activity you can practise at easy, medium and hard levels. There are four medal classes you can achieve depending on how hard your brain works for each activity. There is Bronze, Silver, Gold and for the truly extraordinary minds there is the Platinum medal. Group Mode Ready to show your friends how big your brain is? It's time to compete alone or in teams. Mind Spring – two teams compete to solve a series of tasks Mental Marathon – try to achieve a perfect winning streak in a certain time Brain Quiz – a party-style game where you work through the 5 mental categories and different difficulty levels Check Your Skills – using Mii profiles, you can check and compare the points and medals each person has achieved. Remember, this game is all about being quick and accurate. Less
